Adaptation for Vegetarians:

Make this Ginger Chicken Stir Fry into a delicious vegetarian meal, without a doubt. Replace the chicken with your favourite plant-based protein, like seitan, tofu, or Quorn pieces. These substitutes have a texture akin to meat and absorb flavours beautifully. As an alternative, leave out the chicken and add more vegetables, such as beansprouts, mushrooms, carrots, and baby sweetcorn. This is a very adaptable recipe that works well with any variety of ingredients you may have on hand.

Options for Swapping Meat:

Of course, you can use any type of meat in place of the chicken in this ginger chicken stir fry. As wonderful substitutes, beef, turkey, pork, prawns or thinly sliced steak strips each have their unique flavours and textures. Every piece of meat has a distinct charm that goes well with the stir-fried sauce flavoured with ginger and spices.

Vegetable Variety:

Of course, adding different vegetables to the Ginger Chicken Stir Fry improves its flavour and texture. Carrots, snow peas, broccoli florets, baby corn, and mushrooms are all great options. You can mix and match based on what's in your fridge or what suits your tastes.

Batch Cooking - How to Store It:

Refrigerator: Let cool completely before putting it in an airtight container. You can keep this stir fry fresh in the refrigerator for two to three days.

Freezer: Let cool completely before putting it in a sealed container. You can freeze this stir fry for up to two or three months. Before reheating, defrost.

With a tiny vent left, cover with plastic wrap or a lid that is safe to use in the microwave.

For one to two minutes, cook on high, stirring occasionally. Make sure it's very hot.

How to Use a Hob:

Over medium heat, preheat a wok or nonstick pan.
